Cardiff is the beautiful capital city of Wales and just a mile down the road, you’ll find Cardiff Bay, home to the stunning Millennium Centre and the Welsh Assembly, it’s where Torchwood has its headquarters too (which may or may not be a good thing); but most importantly, it’s got all the benefits of a capital city without the price tag.
Getting to Cardiff Bay
Cardiff Bay can be reached by plane, train, or automobile, for more information: travelling to Cardiff Bay.
The Future Inn Cardiff Bay
Future Inn Cardiff Bay (here’s some photos of the hotel) is just 15 minutes walk off the main waterfront (timings tested with a 3 year old in tow) where there are numerous bars and restaurants. Even better, right next door there’s the Red Dragon Centre.
For those who want to bring their partners or even their children, Cardiff Bay can keep them occupied whilst we geek out (see “Around and About” below).
Accomodation
Rooms will be available for £69/room/night (not including breakfast). The hotel offers two types of standard room: a double which also has a sofa bed, and a twin which has two queen size beds.
